OK, I realize I have been delinquent
Over the last seven days, I ...
* have listened as Cowboys QB Tony Romo and various media types have sold Brett Favre as just another guy to him growing up. Puh-lease. I remember doing interviews with Romo in his first and second years and his admiration was obvious. Nor is there anything wrong with this. I'd daresay Romo has done his fave player proud wit his NFL career.
* have had to walk outside to cheer obnoxiously for my Mizzou Tigers. I guess, technically, "had to" is not accurate. I only felt like I had to since I watched Mizzou-KU with all Jayhawk alums/fans. Mr. Hate's college roommate at Kansas, Chris Garcia, aka Mother Garcia for all of you longtime Mr. Randy listeners, had us for a late Thanksgiving/big-game watching party Saturday. He prepared a fabulous meal. He always does, so I felt kind of guilty being an obnoxious cheering fan. So I took my crazy outside after my Tigers defeated his Jayhawks. Very cool moment in my sports fandom.
* have hyperventilated at least twice thinking of my alma mater being ranked No. 1. Nationally. In football. Southlake's Chase Daniel has this Tiger team two victories away from a National Championship. Wow, wow, wow.
* have brought down every Christmas light, stocking, decoration from my attic. Everything is up, too, except for the tree. Mr. Hate and I have just been too busy to buy a tree and my house feels absolutely nekkid without a decorated tree.
* have heard another round of Tony Romo-Jessica Simpson dating rumors. I have freely admitted to being an US Weekly subscriber and a lover of celeb dating gossip, yet, I find this desire to hook him up with every. Single. Single. Starlet. I do not know if he's dating Simpson. I hope, for his sake, he's enjoying his single life and if Simpson floats his boat, well, let them oogle in peace.
* have wondered what in the heck my good Aggie friends were thinking by taking approximately 12 seconds to hire Mike Sherman. And, if we're being honest, this looks like a deal that had been done for weeks before Coach Fran was fired.
* have slacked off in my blog. I know. I promise to do better. Or at least do whatever I do with a daily frequency.
And now it's Thursday, a week later, and I am back at another Cowboys game when I would much rather be outside in the parking lot with Packer and Cowboy fans, cold beers and brats.
