Cowboys receivers coach Ray Sherman wanted to point out that the Cowboys have not tried defensive back Terence Newman out at receiver.  That just because Newman catches a few passes before practice isn't anything.

Now, would Newman like to try to run a few go routes as a receiver? Yes.

He's the fastest player on the team. And don't be shocked if he lines up once or twice as a receiver this season.
