Arlington to prevent "ambush marketing" during All-Star Game

If you were planning on setting up a lemonade stand near Cowboys Stadium for the NBA All-Star game in February, better change your plans.

Our Susan Schrock reports that the Arlington City Council is getting ready to pass an "anti-ambush marketing" law that will prevent non-sponsors from advertising around the stadium during the week the NBA is in town.

The same law will be in effect when Super Bowl XLV comes to Arlington in 2011.

It's all about protecting the money, you know.

Will the new Cowboys Stadium steal Miami's Super thunder?

Super Bowl 2010 is in Miami, where the former Pro Player Stadium is now known as Land Shark Stadium, named after Jimmy Buffett's beer.

But will the big game continue to rotate into MIami? Or will Jerry Jones and North Texas steal their thunder?

An NFL executive issued a warning to Miami officials last month about the aging stadium, which also hosts the BCS national championship on a rotating basis.
