Super Bowl 45: North Texas is one year away
It's hard to believe, but for the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee, the countdown to Super Bowl XLV starts in earnest on Monday.
Bill Lively, Roger Staubach, Tara Green and crew have already been working on the February 2011 event for a couple of years. But things will start happening very fast once today's Colts-Saints game ends.
The Kick-Off Concert Series on March 6. Visits from NFL executives, particularly Frank Supovitz, vice president of events. The start of SLANT 45. Century in the Making voting. Recruiting 10,000 volunteers. And all those plans -- transportation, security, etc.
Our staff took a look in today's Star-Telegram at where things stand one year out. It should be a crazy year.
