Cowboys Stadium credited for tenfold increase in Arlington tourism dollars
Our Susan Schrock reports on a tenfold increase in tourism dollars flooding into Arlington thanks to events at Cowboys Stadium.
The $14.3 million spent on hotels, shopping, transportation and restaurants in the first quarter of the fiscal year doesn't count convention business, which the convention and visitors bureau said is way down.
Among the events hosted at JerryWorld during the period -- October to December 2009 -- were a U2 concert, the Big 12 Championship game and the Texas-North Carolina basketball game.
