Boy, 16, confesses to 12 murders in serial-killing spree
It's telling when the number of victims almost equals the age of the killer. But, that seems to be case in Brazil.
The Associated Press is reporting that a 16-year-old boy has confessed to killing 12 people in southern Brazil over the past three months. Police say the boy killed some of his victims for enjoyment. He says he killed during a fit of rage or for revenge.
Police also say they have enough evidence to prove that he shot and killed at least six of the 12 people that he claims to have killed.

It is worth noting: As a minor in Brazil, you are judged by your age, not by your crime. So, up to 17 years and 364 days, a "minor" may rape and kill as many as he/she likes. The maximum penalty would be, as it will be for the "minor" in this case, a maximum of 3 years in a young offenders' institution, after which the offender is released with a CLEAN RECORD (i.e. as if he/she had committed no crime). This is but one of the many shames of Brazil.

And in the US, he would be tried as an adult and executed.
Only the US and Iran kill children offenders. This is one of the many shames of the US.

This kid should get the death penalty. He took 12 lives for no reason at all.
