Man gets 25 years for microwaving his infant daughter

Joshua Mauldin, the man convicted of microwaving his 2-month-old daughter and burning her, was sentenced today to 25 years in prison.

The jury deliberated for 6 1/2 hours over two days. Mauldin also was fined $10,000.

Mauldin had claimed he was insane when he put his daughter, Ana, in a microwave, but jurors rejected that. Prosecutors had asked for life in prison.
