Student accused of poisoning teacher as payback
Teaching can be a tough job, especially if you're students are trying to poison you.
According to authorities in Vidalia, La., that's what happened to a teacher at Concordia Education Center where a student is accused of putting eye drops in the teacher's soft drink, seeking revenge for another student who had been suspended.
The teacher ended up at the hospital with "severe intestinal distress." The 16-year-old student was released to his guardians, but faces a charge of simple battery by mingling substances, according to the county sheriff's office.
