Man arrested in slaying of federal agent, killed in front of daughter
There's been an arrest in Florida in the fatal shooting of federal agent who was gunned down in front of his 12-year-old daughter.
Donald Pettit, a customs agent, was shot death outside a post office in Pembroke Pines, police said.
James Patrick Wonder, 65, has been charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested Wednesday by a SWAT team and dozens of other officers who surrounded a shopping center in Pembroke Pines. A massive manhunt had been under way since the shooting Tuesday morning.
"I told you we would get him," said Pembroke Pines Deputy Police Chief Mike Segarra at press conference. "Today is a great day."
