Guns. Knives. Lead pipes. All notoriously known as deadly weapons.
But a 2-pound garden gnome? Yes, a Pennsylvania man has been convicted of using a concrete garden gnome as a deadly weapon in during a drunken rage aimed at his teenage stepdaughter, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.
Charles S. Morrison, 31, of Greensburg, Pa., was found guilty of five charges, including felonious aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a Valentine's Day incident, the paper reported.
His 16-year-old stepdaughter received a scratch above her right eye after Morrison threw the 1-foot-tall happy creature through a glass door and the glass hit her.
Morrison's lawyer told the jury that his client threw the gnome in frustration after he had tripped on his way out of the house and that he wasn't aiming for his stepdaughter.
