A Fort Worth man was in jail Wednesday night after leading police on a chase through a north Fort Worth neighborhood Sunday that ended in him being rescued from his burning truck by the officers who were chasing him.
Video released by police today shows officers dragging Greenwood from his burning pickup.
Police said the man, 41-year-old Russell Greenwood (right), was involved in a domestic disturbance at a home a few miles from the where the chase ended.
They were called to the home, and Greenwood took off when they arrived, according to a police spokesman.
It was the second time this year that police had been called to Greenwood's home. In July, he threatened his wife after hitting her and choking her, according to a police report.
He was in custody on a DWI charge, an evading arrest charge and an outstanding warrant for the July incident.
