Police find neglected woman being eaten by maggots
Police in Texas City, Texas, say that a woman found barely alive on the floor of her home had maggots eating her flesh. In an understatement, officials have called it a "case of neglect."
Officers were sent to the house after a 911 called was received from inside the house from a man claiming to be the woman's son and who told authorities that his mother had bedsores and need an ambulance.
Arriving officers said they encountered a smell similar to a decaying body and discovered 62-year-old Linda Sue Sainz near death.
Police Capt. Brian Goetschius told Houston television station KHOU, "The circumstances with the 911 call were unusual. I think this whole case is unusual."
Police are searching for the caller.

How awful! She had to have had those sores for a long time.I hope she will receive proper care and heals from this.Who was responsible for her care and let it get as far as it did?I am so thankful that I have a good loving family.
