Mike Jones hasn't played high school basketball for more than a decade, but the former Mansfield High School student still knows the importance of having nice facilities. So he's organizing a community service project to help James Madison High School in Dallas get needed renovations to their locker rooms. (Here's some pictures of the dressing rooms for Madison's 15 varsity players and 27 junior varsity and ninth-grade players.)
Jones is getting help from his old coach Richie Alfred and the Mansfield High School teams. The two schools' boys teams will meet up Jan. 31 for a skills clinic and a day of renovations.
Alfred said he tries to do a community project with his team each year. This one will allow them to give back to the community and it might remind Mansfield students how fortunate they are, he said.
Below is a look at Mansfield's locker rooms.
