A new report shows that Texas schools exceeds the national average in the percentage of high school students taking at least one advance placement exam. They can get college credit for a high score. The press release from the College Board is here.
Calculus and English literature were among the most common AP exams taken in Texas. In the class of 2008, more than 73,000 Texas seniors took at least one AP exam. That's a lot of smart cookies!
