Two Burleson teens who challenged the school district's ban on the Confederate battle flag on anything from clothes to jewelry have graduated and a third teen will probably graduate before their federal case winds its way through the federal courts. The campaign by Burleson teen Megan Estes to get a story on teen parenthood published in the school yearbook she edits is no longer just a local story. The Virginia-based Student Press Law Center, which helps young journalists assert their First Amendment rights, has published its own story about Estes and her conflict with Burleson school administrators.
