Epson gets better

Wf600_lftang Epson announced a new line of ink jet all-in-ones and printers, which are designed to meet any small and home-based businesses’ printing, scanning, copying, and faxing needs. If these meet the standards of past products from Epson, they are sure to be worth the money.

The new WorkForce line of all-in-ones and printers provide fast print speeds for increased office productivity and efficiency, in addition to high print resolution for sharp text and vibrant color graphics.

The flagship all-in-one model of the series, the Epson WorkForce 600, can print up to 38 pages per minute and has built-in Wi-Fi along with a tilt LCD screen

Portable printers

Canon U.S.A. has two new additions to its line of compact photo printers: the radical SELPHY CP770 and the ultra-compact CP760 Photo Printers.

These portable photo printers will print almost anywhere –all without having to use a computer or camera to download images.

Cp770_04_white Canon calls the SELPHY CP770 compact photo printer a "cute carry-it-all solution" since it comes bundled in a basket-style storage bucket. This bucket can be used to carry the printer and  accessories including paper, ink and the power cord.

The printer has larger (and less) buttons arranged in a new layout, designed for simplicity and easier navigation through menus. Other features include: 2.5” High-Definition LCD monitor, available in a friendly apricot and crisp white color, automatically determine the position of the red-eye and change the pupils back to a natural color for printing, feature new overcoat technology to help reduce blurring, and fingerprint smudges along with being Bluetooth compatible (sold separately).

760 The Canon SELPHY CP760 Compact Photo Printer prints great 4x6 inch photographs and make the most out of a digital camera. Many of the same features of the CP770 are in this one along with card slots lets users plug in memory cards or print straight from the camera with a USB cord.

Free ink!

Ink We here at the Star-Telegram know a few things about wasting ink, so it's only fitting we give you a heads-up on how to get some:

At Walgreens on Wednesday, get a free ink refill for your printers ink. (You could drive around to every one of the 4 billion Walgreens in the Metroplex, and start your own newspaper!! But you didn't hear that suggestion from me.)

If you have a printer made by, Dell, HP, Lexmark, Okidata, Primera, Sharp or Xerox (no Epson or Canon), check the link to this website to see if your printer is eligible.
