Kluster your ideas

Kluster A new company, Kluster , was launched this week and is designed to put social networks to work. It's a platform where individuals and companies host projects on the Kluster website to share ideas toward the development of different projects.

Kluster is going to change the way a business interacts with consumers, allowing businesses to filter through a huge amount of customer data while at the same time allowing consumers to have a real and positive "brand interaction".

The company provides a platform to get ideas out of heads and into the world.

25 Years from now

PC Magazine put out their 25th Anniversary Issue in January, which featured stories on the next 25 Years in Tech. Somebody give me a call in 25 years and see how accurate they were, but nevertheless, it was some interesting reading.

The Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, Lance Ulanoff (who also happens to be a high school friend of mine) had an interesting story on how his life will be in the year 2032.

Get there faster

Flying into Las Vegas yesterday from DFW, a team of employees from Fort Worth based Uniden Corp. were not only on my plane, but were seated right next to me.

What a surprise, I got my first press kit and pre-CES announcement right there on the plane from Uniden officials. The press release, dated January 7 (so I guess you can call this a scoop) highlights the first GPS unit, Uniden MapTrax WITH a built-in radar detection system. It's not on their Web site yet, but I would expected it to be there by Monday.

So not only will Uniden get you where you need to go, but now they will get you there faster.

The device is expected out in the second quarter of 2008.
