Challenge to Collin County Democrats denied

The Texas Democratic Party's temporary credentials committee voted unanimously this evening to deny a challenge aimed at unseating the entire Collin County delegation from attending next week's state convention.

Frederick Barrow, an Obama supporter from Collin County, tells us the committee decided to reject the challenge after it was discovered the man who made the challenge didn't live in Collin County.

During debate on the challenge this morning, at least two members of the 10-member temporary credentials committee signaled they may be willing to vote in favor of deseating the Collin County delegates because the county party held their convention last month on the wrong date.

Wrong date, huh? Maybe they could be seated, but only have half their alloted voting strength. That seems to be the compromise that's going to happen at the national level.

So the man expected the County to hold its convention on Saturday, even though the largest available venue in Collin County on Saturday could only hold 900 people, 2100 short of the number of delegates attending? Seriously?
