Fight made Obama stronger, backer says

Royce_westDon't include Democratic state Sen. Royce West among those who believe that the protracted battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton has hurt the party's chances to win the White House in November.

"He needed to show that he could take a punch and give one back," said West, (left) referring to Obama. "The Hillary we've known and loved for all these years is a fighter and she gave him that opportunity. And he's made the most of it."

West, who represents Dallas, is backing Obama. He's expecting the Illinois senator to effectively wrap up the nomination tonight once the votes are tallied and the national convention delegates from Kentucky and Oregon are apportioned.

"I think he's got the nomination sewed up," West said.

The only thing that made Mr. Obama stronger was the Media.

If they were ever to write about the Race Issue above board, things might have been more equal.

Anyone who might have thought that Race was not going to be a part of this election was not of this world.

The in ability of the media to write about the Race issue in this campaign was what has made Obama stronger.
We will have to wait and see if the media grows a BACK BONE for the General Election.

The whole thing makes me glad I am Republican, him and his preacher and her and her husband.
