HOUSTON -- In the midst of the red, white and blue at this week's Texas Republican convention, there's just one thing missing:
Buttons, t-shirts and more promoting presidential nominee John McCain.
McCain can't make it to the convention, even though he'll be in Texas Monday and Tuesday, so he's sending former challenger Mitt Romney to speak in his stead.
Maybe that's why the McCain paraphernalia isn't prevalent.
In fact, one booth is even having a fire sale on McCain merchandise. You can buy one t-shirt for $8, instead of the regular price of $14, or two for $14, instead of $25.
What a deal.
