Two Tarrant County leaders -- Constable Sergio DeLeon and Fort Worth City Councilman Sal Espino -- are heading a new grassroots organization to promote the Democratic ticket to local Hispanic voters.
They are heading Unidos por Obama in an effort to make sure they get out the vote for the Democratic ticket of Obama Barack and Joe Biden come November.
"We are going to send a message that the Hispanic Community is united in support of Barack Obama," said DeLeon, who during the primary helped lead the local charge for Hillary Clinton. "Hispanics are supporting Obama because McCain only offers more of the same."
Espino said the primary is over and November is the focus.
"Hispanics in this country know that the choice is clear," he said. "Barack Obama offers to Hispanics educational opportunity and economic fairness."
