Bush backing off?

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Texas U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison was asked why she didn't mention much about President Bush when she spoke to the Texas delegation during their breakfast this morning.

"He is trying to step back ... so the focus is on John McCain," Hutchison told reporters. "He very much wants John McCain to win.

"He is trying to do what is best," she said. "He said that is what Ronald Reagan did for his father."
