ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Where's Kay Granger?
As it turns out, the Fort Worth congresswoman has been making the rounds of other state delegations, promoting John McCain at the Republican National Convention.
Instead of visiting Texas events, she spoke Tuesday to Arizona and Nevada breakfasts. On Wednesday, she meets Utah Republicans.
"I'm telling everybody that I'm tired of this dismissive attitude toward mayors," the former Fort Worth mayor said, referring to comments about former Wasilla, Alaska, mayor Sarah Palin, now McCain's choice for vice president.
"Believe me, a mayor is not 'just a mayor.' When you're a mayor, you're on call all the time. Your phone number is in the directory. You see everybody in the drugstore or the grocery store."
(The photo is not from the convention. It's from an event promoting colorectal cancer awareness.)
