ARLINGTON -- The Texas Parent PAC wants another win in Arlington.
The Parent PAC helped raise money two years ago to lift Diane Patrick into the House over the most powerful lawmaker on education policy, then-House Education Committee Chairman Kent Grusendorf.
On Tuesday, the Parent PAC endorsed Democrat Chris Turner of Burleson over incumbent Bil Zedler of Arlington, the education committee vice chairman.
That's Pam Meyercord, a Dallas parent and PAC board director, talking with Turner. He "represents the mainstream views" of Tarrant County, she said in press handouts.
Dinah Miller of the Parent PAC said Zedler only "plays follow the leader" in the House and is "no friend of Texas public schools."
