Ron Paul's rally kicks off

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Texas congressman Ron Paul just emerged to kick off his own convention, the Campaign for Liberty.

The Target Center arena about 20 miles from the Republican convention is lined with ads for such groups as the John Birch Society and fringe third-party candidate Chuck Baldwin.

Paul said the rally is "meant to be something positive." But he said the Constitution has been "totally neglected."

Asked if his effort might hurt Republican John McCain, he said "I don't worry a lot about that."

I think McCain is more worried about this than he let's on. So worried I believe that's why he picked Sarah, to try and sway us on over. The GOP is finding out that us "Ron Paul Republicans" can not be bullied or bribed into abandoning their beliefs. I remember a time when the Republican party stood on an anti-war, no (or lower) taxes and personal freedoms.
