After Election Day, everyone will be watching to see if elected officials actually fulfill their campaign promises.
One local company appears ready to set a good example.
Earlier this year, Plano-based Dr Pepper announced that if Guns N' Roses released their decade-in-the-making album Chinese Democracy before the end of 2008, the company would give every American a free can of Dr Pepper. It was a funny idea but the company seemed to be seriously campaigning for the band to finish the album already, even launching a blog to cheer Axl Rose on.
Now it looks like the finicky rocker is preparing to call the soda maker's bluff.
A Dr Pepper spokesman told the NY Post: "If the rumors are true, we're putting the Dr Pepper on ice."
Now if they were Dublin Dr Peppers, we could really get excited.

This is an interesting article, and I'm all for free Dr Pepper; but what does this really have to do with politics?

Why try to get Axel Rose to do anything at all. He had clearly done enough harm to society with that stuff he calls music and his actions.
