FORT WORTH _ The Wendy Davis campaign, still euphoric over its unexpected victory Tuesday night over 20-year legislator Kim Brimer, R-Fort Worth, was still waiting for a congratulatory phone call from Brimer Wednesday afternoon.
Brimer, who lost by about 7,000 votes to the former Fort Worth City Councilwoman, was unavail
able for comment when called Tuesday night by the Star-Telegram. His campaign spokesman, Jarod Cox, said they were waiting for more complete results before commenting.
When 100 percent of the precincts were reported by Tarrant County elections officials late Tuesday night, Brimer still did not call with a comment.
He told the Star-Telegram editorial board last month that should Davis win he may continue to challenge whether she was an eligible candidate.
Several readers of the Star-Telegram sent emails today wondering if Brimer plans to comment on the race or concede. Stay tuned.
