AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry, meeting with reporters after addressing campaign workers Saturday, declined to announce a date for the summer special session of the Legislature but did say that lawmakers won't be in town very long.
Asked if the session will be a short one, Perry responded: "Yes, yes." The idea, he said, will be to "get in, get those five agencies addressed, and go on back to your homes and living your lives."
Perry has said earlier that he plans to call lawmakers back to Austin to continue five agencies, including the departments of transportation and insurance, that were left in limbo during the 140-day regular session that ended June 1. Although Perry's office hasn't publicly disclosed the likely date, many lawmakers expect to be back in Austin in early July.
Perry said lawmakers consulted by his office strongly support the idea of a short session.

Good going, Gov. Perry, we can see through your tactic to get everybody happy and the wrong bills get passed. Then you use the session for political purposes. This is very uncanny!

I wonder if it is too late for a "Special Election"? One that we could replace all of these idiots with people that actual care about its citizens.
