The U.S. Senate today passed a resolution, (S. Res 344) authored by U.S. Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn honoring the Fort Hood victims and their families.
"As the families and victims begin their long and difficult recovery from this shocking and saddening tragedy, we offer our prayers and support in this time of grief to everyone affected by this violent act. Today as I tour Fort Hood and visit with the wounded there, I intend to tell those with whom I meet that entire nation shares their pain, and that we offer our full support and hope for a full recovery,” said Hutchison.
“For more than a half century, Fort Hood has been a source of pride and strength for all Americans,” Cornyn said. “The soldiers stationed there have never hesitated to answer the call to protect and defend our nation. After yesterday’s senseless act of violence, it is our duty to care for those same protectors, and my thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims and their families."
Am I only one that is sickened by how Kay Bailout has seized on this tragedy to promote herself, while running for Governor. Proof she needs to be sent home from both Senate, and told we don't need someone like her in Governor's mansion.
I have seen over 5 articles that referenced her as a source of information, gee I guess John Cornyn has more respect for our military then to use them to campaign. Am sure Paul Burka (& rest of liberal wanker friends)will soon be calling Kay "Hero of Fort Hood", Burka seems to favor making stuff up as it fits his biases
