AA sends layoff notices to 469 airport workers

We've posted a story at Star-Telegram.com about the latest wave of layoff notices from American Airlines. These have been sent to airport services workers, primarily in Chicago. There is some additional info on the cuts in a letter AA sent to the Transport Workers Union, which can be read here.

The pilots have their turn coming soon unless they get smart quickly and negotiate an early retirement deal with the company. The S80 pilots especially should start putting real pressure on Captain Hill to make that happen.

Richard,

Your S80 comment proves clearly that you don't understand how a seniority list works.

Why don't you turn your attention to issues you can understand, like maybe a nice gardening blog?

Are all S80 pilots also rated on 738s, 752s and the various 777 models?

Explain to me what AA will do with the ones who aren't.

And yes, APAV8R, attack the person instead of the argument. Just proves you are nothing but an APA-paid shill.
