With snow still falling this morning in north Fort Worth, the D/FW Airport is reporting 150 flight cancellations this morning, said airport spokesman David Magana.
The airport had already been dealing with flights canceled in previous days because of airports on the East Coast shutting down from their snowstorm. Dozens of flights to the East Coast have been cancelled every day starting since Saturday, Magana said.
But today, it's D/FW's turn to add to the flight delays and cancellations across the U.S. air travel network. There are six de-icing stations at D/FW to help get the planes out, but the airport won't be able to fly it's normal 850 departures today with the added de-icing time.
As the snow continues, more flights may be cancelled later today, Magana said.
At Love Field in Dallas, flights are still leaving on time. This tweet appeared about 20 minutes ago. "Flights @DallasLoveField are still ontime. Check southwest.com for updates on delays in Dallas and on the East Coast. Via @WhitneyE"
