You, too, can be an official weather observer

Do you have what it takes to be an official weather observer for the National Weather Service?

The agency's office in Fort Worth is looking for volunteers in these communities:

Collin County: Farmersville

  • Comanche County: Comanche
  • Eastland County: Rising Star
  • Grayson County: Gordonville
  • Hill County: Malone
  • Limestone County: Groesbeck
  • Mills County: Mullin
  • Robertson County: Wheelock
  • Van Zandt County: Canton

According to a weather service statement, "a National Weather Service employee will come out to survey your site to make sure it meets the requirements for installing weather equipment. If the requirements are met, the National Weather Service will provide all equipment and necessary training."
